Design and Simulation of Brushless DC Motor with Integrated Speed Control
Due to the excellent speed control, small size and great efficiency, brushless DC (BLDC) motors are becoming more and more popular. These characteristics make them perfect for high-performance systems like drones and electric cars. In this work, the design of BLDC motors is thoroughly analyzed and the motor's functionality is optimally simulated using a Simulink model across a range of operating situations. The study examines the fundamental design ideas of brushless DC motors, which have several advantages over conventional motors, such as a high torque-to-weight ratio and less electromagnetic interference. A thorough comparison is offered, emphasizing the improved performance of the BLDC motor in sensitive electrical environments and space-constrained settings. The article also addresses the possibilities of BLDC motors in the future, namely in propelling the electric revolution in a variety of industries, including the transportation sector, which includes electric, hybrid and airborne vehicles. This study intends to provide important insights that help direct future breakthroughs and applications in advanced motor technologies by offering a thorough analysis of the theoretical and practical elements of BLDC motor design and operation.
