Development and Evaluation of a Multiband Om-Shaped ॐ Slotted CPW Fed Patch Antenna for 5G Wireless Uses
The author of this article creates an Om-shaped (ॐ) multi-band coplanar wave guide (CPW) antenna using FR4 substrate that measures 20 × 20 × 1 mm3. The findings demonstrate that, for 5G wireless applications, the suggested antenna functions in three 5G-bands with resonance frequencies (fr) of fr1 = 24.04 GHz, fr2 = 27.56 GHz, and fr3 = 28.90 GHz. The author determines that the triple bands from 23.96-24.15 GHz, 27.29-27.84 GHz, and 28.68-29.25 GHz, which have reflection coefficients less than −10 dB, are the intended outcome for the suggested antenna design. CST software is used to design and form the desired antenna, and the simulated results are obtained. For 5G wireless applications, this specifically designed antenna can have all three bands. The gain of the suggested design is 6.3 dBi, 7.5 dBi, and 7.7 dBi at operating frequencies of 24.04 GHz, 27.56 GHz, and 28.90 GHz, in that order. according to the results, the suggested antenna may achieve an extreme gain of 7.7 dBi within 28.68–29.25 GHz frequency region at its resonance frequency of 28.90 GHz. A multiband with acceptable impedance bandwidth for 5G wireless applications is provided by the suggested shape, according to a comparison of the results with published work.
