Analysis of Usability Aspect for an Image-Based Authentication System
Authentication is an essential part of overall access control techniques in the context of information security since it stops unauthorized access to sensitive data and resources. The researcher proved that Image-based authentication systems are much better than text-based authentication systems. On the other hand, the crucial security parameter is inversely proportional to the usability aspect. This research study is an attempt to build a usable and secure image-based authentication system. As a novel approach, the images are imposed on the 3D geometrical shape like a cube for building the password. The scope of the project revolves around the training phase, registration phase, and login phase. The feedback obtained by the user responses is studied for various usability and security-based influencing variables. The exploratory and descriptive statistics help in finding the general trend in the data set. The statistical analysis using inferential statistics and correlation analysis can prove the relationship between usability and security. Thus, the analytical approach provides substantial evidence for the adaptability of the innovative image-based authentication system.
