A Novel Control Technique for Dual Active Bridge Converter
This paper presents a novel control technique for a dual active bridge (DAB) converter. The proposed controller is derived directly from the power expression without employing any averaging techniques. Conventional state-space averaging methods are challenging to apply to the DAB converter due to the zero integral value of the external inductor current over one cycle. This paper systematically develops a current controller specifically designed for the DAB converter. Simulation results for a 10 kW solar-based EV charging validate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
