Reliability Analysis of SEIG-ELC System Using Markov Modelling
One of the main power producing devices in the nation's remote locations is the self-excited induction generator. An electronic load controller (ELC) is used to regulate voltage and frequency when the load is perturbed while operating in an isolated mode. Changing environmental conditions have an impact on the SEIG-ELC system's ability to store extra generated power in a dump load during a power outage. To analyze reliability of the isolated system, this work presents three-component Markov modelling, which consists of an induction generator, a voltage sensor, and IGBT switches under both normal and adverse weather conditions.
