Investigation of Inclined Coil Configurations for 3-Phase Dual Rotor Single Stator Winding
This paper proposes different inclined coil config-urations for 3- phase dual rotor single stator winding. Unlike the conventional distributed windings which are placed in the peripheral slots, the proposed inclined coil configurations make use of additional slots placed symmetrically opposite to the peripheral slots. The use of additional slots gives rise to differ-ent configurations based on the coil crossover location. These different configurations are presented and investigated using ANSYS®Maxwell®. The results and findings are compared to report the best possible configuration.
