Switched-Capacitors Based Five-Level Boost Common-Ground Type Inverter
A switched-capacitor-based five-level common ground type inverter is proposed in this article. The proposed inverter achieves two-fold voltage gain using two switched capacitors (SCs), each rated for half of the inverter's peak output voltage, and both SCs are self-voltage-balanced. As a result, the voltage stress on semiconductor devices is reduced, as is the cost and complexity of control. Because of the common ground feature, the proposed inverter eliminates ground leakage current. Furthermore, the circuit description and operational modes are described in indepth detail. Further, the circuit description and operational modes are explained in detail. The several simulation experiments demonstrate the practicality of the proposed inverter, and results are presented for grid-connected mode. Finally, a detailed comparative analysis is performed to highlight the key figure of merits of individual inverters.
