Modelling and Simulation Analysis of Innovative Offshore Wind Energy Plant
India faces critical energy challenges and ambitious climate targets that necessitate innovative and sustainable solutions. This study explores the modeling and analysis for 10 MW offshore wind energy plant that integrates green hydrogen generating unit. By harnessing the synergy between these technologies, both energy efficiency and sustainability can be enhanced. This work focuses the modeling and detailed analysis of offshore wind plant considering pitch angle control with constant speed operation of permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) for varying wind speed. The simulation analysis of wind energy conversion system (WECS) has been carried out using MATLAB R2023a Simulink, in which various results are obtained. In this analysis, the feasibility of wind energy generation up to 10 MW capacity is explored which can be easily integrated with the electrolyser plant for green hydrogen generation. Finally, it is observed that the findings contribute to the development of more efficient and sustainable offshore wind energy systems, capable of meeting future energy demands while reducing environmental impact.
