Abstract

This paper introduces a novel diode-assisted high-gain DC-DC converter for electric vehicles, microgrids, and household applications. It efficiently utilizes power from energy storage systems to meet varying demands. Initially designed for DC-DC conversion and further it was extended for hybrid applications. The converter efficiently boosts input DC voltage to high output voltage with a small duty ratio, featuring low input ripple current. Its switched capacitor topology is optimized for diverse applications like uninterrupted power supply, energy storage, and battery charging. Focused on reducing power losses and enhancing power density, it ensures high efficiency crucial for electric vehicles/microgrids. Theoretical analysis clarifies operational principles; experimental validation confirms voltage boost across loads, minimizing power losses.
