Advanced Strategies for Identifying Cryptominer Malware: Enhancing Security in Cryptocurrency Environments
Cryptocoin mining has increased cases of cryptominer malware that has posed a significant threat to the users and the organizations. This paper focused on improving detection strategies of cryptominer malware in an effort to improve safety in cryptographic environments. We discussed several methodologies for detection: behavior-based analysis, signature detection, and machine learning approaches and indicated their efficacy in the recognition of threats from the cryptominer menace. The traditional approaches of security are also discussed, and a hybrid approach is proposed that depicts multiple detection strategies to increase the accuracy without generating false positives. Organizations can now put better security measures in place against cryptominer malware by leveraging these sophisticated mechanisms for malware detection, ensuring integrity and security within their cryptocurrency operations.
