Solar Microinverter with ESS for Rural Households
This paper presents the design and implementation of a solar microinverter integrated with an Energy Storage System (ESS) for rural households. The primary objective is to enhance energy accessibility and reliability in off-grid and semi-grid rural areas, addressing issues of power intermittency and accessibility. The proposed solution employs a 350W solar panel, with a solar charge controller to store DC power in a battery and microinverter. The work focuses on achieving cost-effectiveness, ease of installation, and minimal maintenance. The system's key contribution is its ability to maintain a continuous power supply during periods of low solar irradiance. The implementation methodology includes detailed simulation to validate performance and efficiency. The findings demonstrate that the system offers a sustainable and reliable energy solution for rural development, promoting energy equity and sustainable development.
