Fractional IMC-PIDA Control Technique for Mitigation of Time Delay Attack in Power System
This article proposes a fractional filter internal model control (FFIMC) based proportional integral derivative acceleration (PIDA) control technique for mitigating the time delay attack (TDA) in a single-area power system (SAPS). The uniqueness of the proposed method is that the parameters are tuned for minimum value of integral errors. The rapid development of power systems and cyber-physical systems (CPSs) makes them highly vulnerable to cyber threats due to information sharing through the open communication channel. This article focuses on the load frequency control (LFC) issue of SAPS in the presence of the TDA. The LFC issue arises because of the unanticipated load requirements. The function of LFC is to regulate the frequency in the specified limit, whereas the presence of TDA, along with sudden load demand, severely affects the whole system, resulting in destabilization. Therefore, to mitigate the TDA from SAPS and improve performance, the proposed technique FFIMC-PIDA is used in addition to the Smith predictor approach. Finally, the efficacy of the proposed method is analyzed based on integral error indices and compared with existina techniques,
