Inductor Current Feed-Forward Based Single-Loop DQ Control Scheme for Standalone Inverter System
With the influx of nonlinear loads into the power system, there is a need to mitigate the effects of harmonic current drawn by the loads under standalone inverter systems. Filters are ineffective in mitigating lower-order harmonics. Hence, improve-ments in control schemes have to be implemented to improve the voltage quality. In this paper, an Inductor Current Feed-forward (ICF) based single-loop dq (SLdq) control scheme is proposed to suppress the effects of the harmonics. The proposed controller is developed through dq frame modelling and is compared with the existing SLdq control scheme. It is shown through simulations and hardware experimentation that the ICF-based SLdq control scheme is superior to the SLdq control.
