Impact Analysis of EV Charging System on Grid with and without Solar PV Integrated System
This research article investigates the impact of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging systems on the traditional three-phase power grid, comparing scenarios with and without the integration of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. In the present condition, the exponential rise in EV usage has significantly increased load demand, leading to imbalances in the distribution system. The presented article discusses the different impacts of EV charging systems which affect the grid stability, energy demand, and peak load periods. Additionally, it explores the potential advantages of integrating solar PV systems to mitigate these impacts, enhancing grid resilience, and promoting sustainability. This research article also discusses the comparative analysis of impacts in both conditions and the simulation results show the analysis of each impact in different conditions. Further, the MATLAB/Simulink environment is used to model and analyze the different impacts of EV charging station on the three-phase traditional power grid. By integrating grid and solar PV, the article aims to offer a thorough understanding of how solar PV systems can be leveraged to support the growing adoption of EVs, ensuring a stable and sustainable power grid.
