Truncation Based Reduction of Interconnected Hybrid Power System
The objective of this paper is implementation of model reduction technique (MRT) to simplify hybrid power system. In this technique, both denominator and numerator polynomials of lower order system are determined by direct truncation technique. By applying direct truncation technique for MRT on hybrid power system, thirteen order transfer function is decreased to sixth, fifth, fourth, third, and second orders. These simplified models are very useful and preserve property of parameters with accuracy. The results of simplified models indicate the effectiveness of the method. The demonstrated diagrams like step, impulse, Bode, and Nyquist plots for higher-order model and its lower order reduced models are shown. The stability, steady state value and other features are similar to original higher-order system.
