A High-Gain Non-Isolated Boost-SEPIC DC-DC Converter

Renewable energy sources have become one of the most effective approaches to mitigate environmental problems, especially in the face of the significant increase in greenhouse gas emissions in recent years. In this context, it is evident that the use of sustainable energy sources positively contributes to the planet. To optimize the use of these sources, voltage boost converters are crucial as they allow for energy processing and the interconnection of sources and loads with different voltage levels. However, despite traditional converters like the Boost converter being theoretically capable of achieving high voltage gain with high duty cycles, the stress on components and the associated losses are also high, making their use less efficient. This article proposes a new non-isolated high voltage gain DC-DC converter, the Boost-SEPIC, inspired by conventional Boost and SEPIC converters.
