IMPROVING TEG EFFICIENCY BASED ON DIFFERENT MPPT TECHNIQUES (PSO and P&O)
Thermoelectric generators (TEGs) employ surplus heat to produce electricity in modest electrical usage.Whenever the load linked to the terminals of TEGs equals the internal resistance of the TEG devices, maximum power is produced.Impedance comparing, nevertheless, isn't always guaranteed.TEGs are less efficient as a result.Consequently, methods such as maximum power point tracking (MPPT) are employed. For the present work, a boost-converting circuit with MPPT was modeled in conjunction with TEGs.TEGs based on the Seebeck factor, hot/cold surface temperatures, and the total amount of modules in MATLAB/Simulink were thoroughly modeled, simulated, and verified.Several MPPT techniques are examined in this study. The chosen DC-DC converter approach, a onedirectional boost converter, is used in combination with the MPPT approach to construct the power conditioning unit. The TEG modeling was integrated with the Perturb and Observe (P&O) MPPT technique and the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) MPPT method. When compared to the other methods, the applicability stems from a higher sensitivity to variations in the system's temperature and, consequently, the electrical potential difference produced. The TEG system is simulated and the examined control schemes are contrasted under MATLAB/Simulink conditions. This research is significant because it describes how to maximize the power provided by the TEG device and improve its reliability under various operating situations.
