ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES IN MODERN CONSTRUCTION MEDIA DISCOURSE (USING THE EXAMPLE OF FRENCH AND RUSSIAN)
Abstract. The article examines the features of representation of environmental issues using French and Russian-language construction media texts as an example. An important social function of modern construc-tion media discourse as a factor in reflecting aspects of the construction industry is determined. The works of authors studying issues of mass media discourse in the system of media linguistics, the features of representa-tion of environmental media discourse, the language means used, as well as the functioning of individual types of discourse in the context of media stylistics are analyzed. Examples of definitions by linguists of the concepts of media discourse, media text, environmental discourse, media style are given. It is noted that media texts of the Russian-language publication Stroitelnaya Gazeta and the French-language publications Planète bâti-ment, Chantiers de France include information on the most pressing environmental issues of our time, in par-ticular, such as: water pollution, waste management, including obsolete materials containing harmful sub-stances. The advantages of the implementation and development of a low-carbon economy at the present stage as an important environmental factor are also considered. It has been established that the studied media texts on environmental topics are characterized by an author's narrative, which is realized in statements that have an emotional impact on the addressee, focusing his attention on significant factors of the construction media discourse and having a certain intentional meaning.
