The goal of the study is a theoretical estimate of the scale factor, considering the dimensions of a room when determining the time to block evacuation paths due to various hazardous factors of fire on the premises of buildings for production and social purposes. For this, analytical solutions of the integral model have been considered, numerical experiments have been conducted, and the impact of room dimensions on the time to block the evacuation paths by separate hazardous factors of fire. Numerical experiments for the impact of room dimensions on the time to block evacuation paths by separate hazardous factors of fire have been conducted using analytical solutions of the integral model. The results have been analyzed. The results of numerical experiments to calculate the above-mentioned time in the case of specific fire loads have been presented. Formulas to determine scale factors have been proposed. It has been shown that, with the equal floor area of rooms, the difference in time to block evacuation paths by various hazardous factors of fire is determined by scale factors that depend only on the ratio of rooms’ heights. The formulas proposed to determine scale factors allow for the estimation of the time to block evacuation paths by separate hazardous factors of fire when room dimensions are changed not requiring additional effort-consuming calculations using fire development dynamic models.
