Faktor–Faktor yang Berhubungan dengan Kadar Kolesterol pada Remaja Putri

Background: Adolescence is a crucial period of growth and development characterized by increased nutritional needs. Unhealthy lifestyles among adolescents, such as unbalanced diets and frequent fast-food consumption, may increase the risk of metabolic disorders, including elevated total cholesterol levels. Objective: To identify factors associated with total cholesterol levels among female adolescents. Methods: This quantitative study used a cross-sectional design involving 56 female adolescents selected through proportional random sampling. Instruments included nutritional status measurements and validated questionnaires assessing dietary patterns, physical activity, and fast-food consumption (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.888). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Chi-square test. Results: Significant associations were found between nutritional status (p = 0.004), dietary patterns (p = 0.027), and fast-food consumption (p = 0.008) with total cholesterol levels among female adolescents. Conclusion: Nutritional status, dietary patterns, and fast-food consumption are significant factors associated with total cholesterol levels in female adolescents
