THERAPY, DIAGNOSTICS AND HEMATOLOGY FOR CANINE BABESIOSIS
Babesiosis (piroplasmosis, babesiosis) is an acute invasive disease of animals, characterized by intoxication, fever, development of anemia and severe progressive course. Babesiosis refers to transmissible parasitic zoonotic infections and is one of the most common invasive diseases of dogs, which still causes significant economic damage to service, hunting and amateur dog breeding, since with untimely treatment it usually ends in the death of the animal. Our article presents the results of therapy of canine babesiosis based on the fight against the causative agent of the disease, correction of hematological and biochemical parameters of blood using drugs for symptomatic therapy, as well as a drug aimed at treating secondary autoimmune hemolytic anemia caused by this parasitosis.
