Improvements in real-time PCR methodology for detection of infectious bursal disease virus
The aim of the study was to modify the PCR-method for real-time detection of infectious bursal disease (IBD) virus. The samples of synthetic oligonucleotide primers to the highly conserved overlapping region VP5/VP2 of segment A of infectious bursal disease virus were selected. The primers used in the study have sensitivity and specifi city and can be used in diagnostic studies to detect IBD virus RNA.
