ISSUES OF INDIVIDUAL ORAL HYGIENE OF DIFFERENT AGES CHILDREN
Dental health is established from an early age. Improper or insufficient oral care of a child can lead to the development of various dental diseases. Pathological processes due to poor oral hygiene can occur both in the hard tissues of the teeth and on the mucous membrane of the oral cavity. The main goal of parents and the dentist is to interest the child in following the rules of oral hygiene. It is important that children perform all necessary procedures consciously and with pleasure, and not because of coercion. The modern Russian market offers a large number of products and items for individual oral hygiene, which makes the choice difficult for parents. The choice of objects and means for individual oral hygiene is of particular importance for children, both because of the choice of the most effective of them, and in order to develop and consolidate the child's skills, as well as stimulate interest and motivation to conduct hygiene procedures. In addition to problems with the choice of personal hygiene products and items, special attention should be paid to the motivation and preferences of the child himself in matters of personal hygiene. In order to study and analyze the main problems in the issue of individual oral hygiene in children of different ages, a survey of children and their parents was conducted, and their own calendar of useful habits was proposed using the example of a group of patients undergoing orthodontic treatment on removable devices. In the process of habit formation, it is necessary to strengthen the child's interest in the independent use of all objects and means of individual oral hygiene.
