Pendidikan dan Informasi Kepatuhan Penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) pada Pekerja Proyek JLS LOT 6 Tulungagung

Abstract: Workplace illnesses and accidents claim the lives of 2.78 million workers every year. More than 380,000 people died due to work accidents, which constituted 13.7% of the total deaths, while 2.4 million people died due to occupational diseases, which constituted 86.3%. One strategy to reduce the number of work accidents is to expand the use of PPE. Workers protect themselves from potential dangers in the workplace by wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). Finding out whether workers at the Jalan Lintas Selatan Lot 6 Tulungagung Project would be more inclined to use PPE after receiving further information and training was the main objective of this research. The methodology and design of this research is quantitative and cross-sectional. Every one of the 54 workers including drivers, operators and supervisors was accounted for. Data was collected using observational research tools and questionnaires. Education level was related to PPE use (p=0.380) and PPE knowledge (p=0.038), based on the chi-square test. This study found that workers at the JLS Lot 6 Tulungagung project were more likely to comply with PPE regulations when they had a higher level of education, but higher level of education did not correlate with PPE compliance Abstrak: Penyakit dan kecelakaan kerja merenggut nyawa 2,78 juta pekerja setiap tahunnya.
