Cross-Flow Behind the Casing Examination Using Spectral Noise and High Precision Temperature Tool in Partially Cemented Long String Gas Wells
Abstract Overcoming wellbore accessibility challenges in oil and gas operations is a critical technical and operational concern that directly influences hydrocarbon recovery and reservoir management. This paper explores wellbore accessibility issues encountered in various wells, highlighting the role of advanced diagnostic tools such as High Precision Temperature (HPT) and Spectral Noise Logging SNL(Chorus). Common obstacles include restricted wellbore conditions caused by high deviation angles, formation instability, and failures in well completion components, such as leaks, communication behind the pipe, and casing deformations. The application of HPT-SNL(Chorus) technology emerges as a novel approach to identifying and addressing these challenges. Particular attention is given to behind-pipe communication behind the pipe phenomena, demonstrating how HPT-SNL(Chorus) diagnostics enable precise identification of wellbore issues and support timely, informed decision-making. The ultimate objective is to enhance reservoir performance and ensure sustainable field development in complex operational environments.
