ESTIMATION OF SINGLE NUCLEOTIDE POLYMORPHISMS OF HUMAN LEUKOCYTE ANTIGEN DRB1 ALLELES HAPLOTYPE FREQUENCIES IN THE IRAQI PATIENTS WITH RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS

Background and aims: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) stays a multifactorial, advanced, inflammatory and systemic, auto-immune Patients affecting about 1% of the global population. The purpose of this training is to investigate the involvement of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of HLA-DRB1 alleles to emergent RA in the Iraqi population.Materials and methods: A whole of 150 issues were involved in case controlling training during their attended at Baghdad Teaching Hospital in Baghdad from March 2022 to February 2023.Subjects were divided into two groups, including 100 Patients with (RA) under treatment and 50 controlling group. The ages of patients with RA under treatment were ranged from (21 to 72) years distributing between 13 males and 87 females. Two ml of venous blood stood pinched as of patients and controlling groups. The blood sample stayed composed in a EDTA anticoagulant tube.A SSP-PCR Method test was performed on these samples Results: Our results showed that frequency distribution of patients with RA according to HLA typing.HLA-DRB1*04:01 stayed detected in 23.0% of Patients (23 beyond 100) and in 14 % of controlling issues (7 beyond 50); the alteration in spreading of patients and controlling issues rendering to HLA typing stayed statistically no important (P = 0.194).Also HLA-DRB1*09:01 was observed in 18.0% of patients (18 out of 100) and in 10 % of control issues (5 beyond 50); the alteration in spreading of Patients and control issues rendering to HLA typing stayed statistically non-significant (P = 0.201).HLA-DRB1*08:02 stood detected in 8% of patients (8 beyond 100) and in 2 % of control subjects (1 out of 50); the difference in distribution of patients and controlling issues rendering to HLA typing stayed statistically non-significant (P = 0.144).But the present result shows important alteration in occurrence
