UVA&UVC STIMULATE CONJUGATION BETWEEN AGROBACTERIUM TUMEFACIENS (Ag2) AND RHIZOBIUM LEGUMINOSARUM BV. TRIFOLII

Bacterial conjugations present one of opportunities that transform bacteria. The susceptibility of such bacteria to particular antibiotics was used by the results to demonstrate conjugation. The obtained data reported the effect extent of curring by heat at 44 0 c on the plasmid content DNA in Rhizobium leguminosarum bv.trifolii bacterial and it has seemed that the physical curring had a big effect upon losing Rhizobium bacteria the feature of resistance of Chloramphenicol and Streptomycin antibiotics, The collected data showed that exposure to various UV treatments stimulated the development of bacteria. These UV treatments last for (0.0, 10, 15, 20, 30, and 40) minutes. When bacteria are cultivated on the surface of a certain solid media, the treatment (10) min increases the number of colonies by 51-100%.The conjugation mixture's exposure to UV light increased the transconjugant colonies between (58-91) % and doubled the conjugation frequency, according to the study's intriguing findings. This might be essential to improving conjugation between bacterial species that are incapable of doing so.The aim of this study was to identify instances of conjugation among two species of bacteria, namely Rhizobium leguminosarum bv.trifolii, standard strain A.tumefaciens (C58Cl), and wild strain A.tumefaciens (Ag2).
