IMPROVE SOLAR CELL EFFICIENCY BY USING ZINC OXIDE NANO

With the rapid developments in various scientific and technological fields, scientific research is increasingly important as a tool for achieving innovation and solving challenges. This research aims to study the effect of nano zinc oxide on the efficiency of solar cells. The research reviews the importance of solar cells in energy production as a clean and environmentally friendly source, as well as the method of preparing zinc oxide and the results that were reached.attended four concentrations (5g/mol,8g/mol,11g/mol, and 15g/mol) of ZnO nano, used a device UV/visible spectrophotometer to examine the concentrations to obtain the absorption spectrum.UV/visible spectrophotometer measures concentrations with a device Spectrofluorometer were used to characterize the films to the Fluorescence spectrum. Finally, a solar module analyzer measures the efficiency and voltage-current curve.Remarkable results have been shown in increasing the efficiency from 22.41 to 36.41 when a concentration increase from (5 g/mol), (15g/ mol) .Also, it can be observed that the wavelength of maximum absorbance occurs at ab=421nm, and the wavelength of maximum fluorescence is observed at flo=608nm.By using Stokes shift to determine the different between the wavelength of the absorbance spectrum and wavelength of the fluorescence spectrum it is equal to (=187nm).There is an Inverse relationship between the improvement in the efficiency of the solar cell and the decrease in the concentration of ZnO nano can be investigated.
