Homoeopathy follows the 'law of nature,' so it is a natural method of treating illnesses. It helps in strengthening the defense system of the body. This science is based on the natural law 'Similia Similibus Curenter' which bears the testimony of time, as it has contributed to curing, preventing, and promoting health care of patients, and it continues to do so."Handbook of Home Remedies in Homoeopathy" also aims to do the same and help the community by curing, preventing, and promoting health care.I recently had the pleasure of reading the "Handbook of Home Remedies in Homoeopathy" published by the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH).As a homoeopathic student and a practitioner of homoeopathic medicine, I have wished to explore this extensive guide for a few months, as it is a great guide for bedside prescription and a useful tool for homoeopathic prophylaxis. This handbook truly lives up to its expectations and promise, offering a fortune of practical knowledge that empowers readers to take charge of their health. The CCRH's ability and expertise shine through in the clear, concise language and well-organised structure of this book. What struck me most was the handbook's width of coverage and the vast knowledge it covers, from everyday ailments like colds and fever to chronic conditions like arthritis and asthma, the authors offer thoughtful guidance on remedy selection and usage. The potency is mentioned, and the repetition of doses according to acute and chronic illnesses, in some way being a homoeopath, it gave me immense joy but also a bit of dissatisfaction, as this book is written for the aid of the common man, there are multiple remedies mentioned under a particular condition from which a medicine can be selected based on the symptom it covers. The concept of Homoeopathy the 'law of similia' might be missed by the commoner.
