DETECTION OF CD83+DENDRITIC CELLS IN RESPIRATORY TISSUE OF INTRATRACHEAL AND INTRAPERITONEAL EXPERIMENTALLY INFECTED SHEEP WITH MYCOPLASMA OVIPNEUMONIAE BY IHC
DCs are a heterogeneous cell population categorized according to their location, functionality, and cell marker expression. The present study has focused on the identification of M. ovipneumonea, pathological examination and comparison of CD83+ dendritic cells mean numbers in respiratory tract tissues.Bronchus, bronchial bifurcation; lung and lymph nodes of intratracheally and intraperitoneally inoculated six adult sheep were included in this study.M. ovipneumoniae was isolated and identified in all tested animals, the results of gross examination for the respiratory tract organs showed pneumonic lesions, pulmonary oedema and congestion with petechial and ecchymosis hemorrhage, consolidation beside inflammation of paranasal sinuses. The results of histopathological testing of Fixed and paraffin wax-embedded respiratory tract tissues showed moderate hyperplasia and thickening of alveolar wall with infiltration of neutrophils and lymphocytes cells, Fixed and paraffin wax-embedded respiratory tract tissues were examined by Immunohistochemical (IHC) staining.IHC results indicated significant difference(P<0.05) in the CD83+ dendritic cells mean numbers among Bronchus, Bronchial bifurcation; lung and lymph nodes of sheep inoculated via the two routes. However higher CD83+ dendritic cells mean numbers was observed in lymph nodes.
