SYNTHESIS , CHARACTERIZATION AND BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OF SOME METALS(II) COMPLEXES WITH (3-FORMYL-5-NITRO-1H-INDOLE-1-CARBODITHIOATE) AND (5- NITRO-1H-INDOLE-1-CARBODITHIOATE) LIGANDS
In this research, two dithiocarbamate ligands derived from 5-Nitro-1H-indole-3-carbaldehyde and 5-Nitro-1H-indoline were prepared and then reacted with some first transition chain metal ions to obtain complexes that have the general formula [M(IC)2Cl2] , [M(IN)2Cl2] and[Cu(IC)2]Cl2.Where M =, Ni+2, Cu+2 and Zn+2, IC = (3-formyl-5-nitro-1H-indole-1carbodithioate) and IN = (5-nitro-1H-indole-1-carbodithioate) have been prepared in a (1:2)metal to ligand molar ratio. The ligands and complexes were characterized by FTIR, HNMR, UV-Visble spectroscopy, and metal analyses. In addition to measuring magnetic susceptibility and molar electrical conductivity, which were used to diagnose the complexes. The measurements indicate that all complexes have an octahedral geometry and are not electrolytes except for the copper complex of the IC ligand. It was shown that it has a square planar shape and is electrolytic with a ratio of 1:2.The bacterial activity of ligands and complexes evaluated against two types of bacteria, Staphylococcus aurous and E. coli, gave positive results for inhibition of the growth of bacteria by the diffusion method.
