ALLELOPATHIC POTENTIAL OF THREE TYPES OF WATER AND PRUNUS ARMENIACA L. LEAVES ON GERMINATION AND GROWTH OF CALENDULA OFFICINALIS L. AND DELPHINIUM CAROLINIANUM L. PLANTS

The study included the effects of three types of water (distilled water, river water and well water) and 5% Apricot (Prunus armeniaca L.) extract at on certain growth traits. The results showed that there are significant differences in the effect of water quality and Apricot extract on the percentage of Calendula officinalis L. and Delphinium carolinianum L. Plants germination, there was a rise in the percentage of germination of C. officinalis.Due to the influence of the river water and the well water, a significant decrease in most growth traits of the ornamental plants compared to the effect of control.Root traits were more affected by water types and apricot extract than other traits.Ornamental plants responded differently to the three types of water added and apricot extract to the soil.Calendula officinalis L. was more sensitive than Delphinium carolinianum L. Apricot extract was the most effective on plant growth, as it caused a significant reduction of most of the studied traits.
