LEI BRASILEIRA DE INCLUSÃO E SUA EFETIVIDADE NAS ESCOLAS PÚBLICAS ESTADUAIS DE PORTO VELHO
ABSTRACT The Brazilian Inclusion Law (LBI), also known as the Statute of Persons with Disabilities (Law No. 13,146/2015), aims to guarantee equal conditions for people with disabilities, especially in the educational context. However, the effectiveness of the LBI in the state public schools of Porto Velho still faces significant challenges. This study analyzes the implementation of the LBI, investigating structural, pedagogical and social aspects that influence its application. The research used exploratory, qualitative and deductive methodology including documentary review and mapping of the current scenario of implementation of the LBI in the state public schools of Porto Velho. The results highlighted deficiencies in infrastructure, teacher training and access to assistive technologies, compromising the effective inclusion of students with disabilities. It is concluded that the full implementation of the LBI depends on investments in infrastructure and training, as well as the strengthening of inclusive public policies.
