FEW CYCLE OPTICAL PULSES IN AN ANISOTROPIC PHOTONIC CRYSTAL WITH A STRUCTURE DEFECT
The work presents a theoretical study and numerical modeling of the interaction of a three-dimensional few cycle optical pulse with the medium of an optically anisotropic photonic crystal with a structural defect, built on the basis of semiconductor carbon nanotubes. The time evolution of the x- and y-components of the electric field strength of a pulse in such a medium is shown at times up to 15 ps. The dependences of the pulse shape and its group velocity on the refractive index modulation parameters of the photonic crystal have been established. Stabilization of the pulse shape has been demonstrated after it overcomes a defect in the structure of the photonic crystal.
