HR Professionals’ Intention to Adopt and Use of Artificial Intelligence in Recruiting Talents in Retail Industry of Karachi (Pakistan)
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate HR professionals' behavioral intentions to use artificial intelligence (AI) in talent recruitment in Karachi. The current study was done in Karachi using the principles of the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT), which was founded on the technology acceptance model, the theory of planned behavior, the theory of reasoned action, and so on. Method: Building on the understanding of the deductive reasoning technique, the inquiry employed a quantitative research strategy to adhere to the positivist paradigm. We obtained 107 responses from AI end-users via a self-administered survey. We employed structural equation modelling (SEM) using SmartPLS. Results: The data revealed that four hypotheses were validated. Implications: One of the most important implications of the current study is the application of the intervention described in the study to the retail businesses in Karachi. Limitation: The main constraint is the use of cross-sectional data, which means that future research must include both cross-sectional and longitudinal data to ensure the generalizability of the observed findings.
