COMPARATIVE EVALUATION OF THE RATE OF CANINE RETRACTION USING LPRF ASSISTED EXTRACTION VERSUS CONVENTIONAL EXTRACTION –A RANDOMISED CONTROL TRIAL
Tooth movement is a physiologically rate-limited process where forces applied to teeth are transmitted through the periodontal ligament into alveolar bone causing it to either resorb or grow. When applying mechanical forces to the tooth supporting structure cellsignalling pathways are activated through numerous cascade reactions, which stimulate periodontal ligament (PDL) turnover and bone turnover.
