An Efficient Software Design for Large-Scale Railway BIM
Railway transportation, known for its high capacity, speed, and cost-efficiency, is vital for international trade and regional development. However, railway construction faces challenges such as complex geology, high difficulty, and safety risks, demanding efficient solutions. Advances in construction and information technology have driven a shift toward digital, technology-driven models. Building Information Modeling (BIM) has become essential, integrating data from design to construction for streamlined management. Yet, growing railway project complexity exposes BIM software limitations, including poor data processing, inefficient collaboration, and low flexibility. Developing advanced BIM software to handle massive data, enable real-time collaboration, and ensure scalability is crucial. This study proposes a BIM framework based on industry needs and research, aiming to boost efficiency, drive digital transformation, and support sustainable development.
