Influence of induced magnetic field, electric load and viscous dissipation on electro-hydromagnetic Jeffrey fluid flowing in an insulated vertical channel: An application of electric power generation
The generation of electricity is essential for sustaining modern society, and the exploration of magnetohydrodynamic technology is a pivotal area for advancing clean and efficient power generation. This study presents a novel investigation into the behavior of unsteady and hydromagnetic Jeffrey fluid flowing through an insulated, permeable system comprising two vertical parallel channels. The analysis incorporates the effects of uniform injection/suction, natural convection, and viscous dissipation. A key innovation of this research is the inclusion of an external electric load, which acts as a circuit connecting the parallel channels to facilitate energy and current transfer. This configuration also induces a magnetic field within the system, introducing a coupled electromagnetic interaction. The study further examines the time-dependent evolution of shear stress, heat flux, and mass flux under the combined influence of electric and magnetic fields. The integration of the electric load parameter is particularly significant, as it generates electromagnetic forces that govern the flow patterns. The governing nonlinear partial differential equations are solved using a finite difference scheme, with numerical simulations performed via MATLAB's ODE15s solver. Comparative analysis with existing literature validates the accuracy of the proposed model. This work lays the groundwork for future applications of magnetohydrodynamic technology in enhancing the efficiency of power generation systems and highlights the innovative coupling of electric and magnetic effects within fluid dynamics. • Jeffrey fluid flows under uniform injection/suction in a vertical insulated channel is explored. • Influence of chemical reaction and viscous dissipation are also considered. • Combined effects of induced magnetic field and electric current/load is highlighted.
