Orthogonal optimization design of double-layer frustum-shaped charge structure

To improve the jet formation quality and enhance the material utilization efficiency of the frustum-shaped charge liner, a double-layer frustum-shaped liner structure is proposed. Through numerical simulation, the orthogonal optimization design method is applied to investigate the effects of four variables—charge height (H), cone angle of the liner (α), liner wall thickness (d), and the wall thickness ratio between the outer and inner liners (d2:d1)—on the jet tip velocity and effective jet length. The results indicate that the influencing factors for jet tip velocity, in descending order, are: double-layer frustum-shaped liner wall thickness, cone angle, wall thickness ratio, and charge height. For effective jet length, the influencing factors are: cone angle of the double-layer frustum-shaped liner, wall thickness ratio, wall thickness, and charge height. A comprehensive analysis shows that the optimal configuration is Scheme 7, with α = 42°, d = 2 mm, d2:d1= 2:1, and H = 155 mm, yielding the best overall jet formation performance.
