A novel low-power self-starting bandgap reference source design
To address the issues of significant temperature drift and narrow operational temperature range associated with conventional bandgap reference sources under low-voltage and low-power conditions, a novel self-starting bandgap reference source has been designed. This design incorporates self-starting technology into the traditional structure, significantly reducing circuit power consumption. Additionally, advanced temperature compensation techniques have been employed, greatly enhancing the temperature drift coefficient across a wide temperature range. The design was validated using a 0.18 μm CMOS process. Results indicate a low-temperature drift coefficient of 6.21 ppm/°C within a temperature range of -40°C to 200°C, with a total current consumption of 327 nA at room temperature (27°C).
