Dual-vector model predictive control for PMSM driven by three-phase four-switch inverter
When the three-phase six-switch inverter has a single switch open circuit fault, it can be reconstructed to a three-phase four-switch structure, so as to achieve fault tolerant operation. In this paper, a dual-vector model predictive control method for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) driven by three-phase four-switch inverter is studied to improve the current control performance of PMSM. Firstly, the mathematical model and output voltage vector of three-phase four-switch inverter are analyzed in detail. Secondly, aiming at the problem of dc side neutral point voltage balance control, a voltage balance control method based on current injection is proposed. Thirdly, in order to improve the current control performance of PMSM, four virtual dual-vectors were constructed and a dual-vector model predictive current control method for PMSM was proposed. By using two voltage vectors simultaneously in each control cycle, the current ripples of PMSM were significantly reduced. Finally, comparative simulation and experimental studies based on Matlab/Simulink and experimental platform are carried out, which verify the effectiveness of the proposed method[3].
