Conservative and interventional treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (clinical case)
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is one of the most common endocrine disorders worldwide, significantly increasing the risk of cardiovascular complications. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 50% of deaths among patients with diabetes are caused by cardiovascular diseases [1]. Timely diagnosis and appropriate management of these complications can greatly improve the quality of life and reduce mortality. We present a clinical case of a woman with type 2 diabetes mellitus who developed cardiovascular complications and demonstrate a comprehensive treatment approach for what initially appeared to be a straightforward case of a cardiometabolic disease. It is essential to emphasize that adherence to dietary regimens, glycemic control, blood pressure regulation, cholesterol management, and physical activity can reduce the development of microvascular and macrovascular complications in individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitusKey words: type 2 diabetes mellitus, ischemic heart disease, coronary angio-graphy, chronic kidney disease.
