Optimal configuration of energy storage for distribution networks with high penetration of distributed energy resources based on an improved particle swarm optimization algorithm
Integrating a significant amount of decentralized power generation into distribution networks can lead to numerous challenges, including those related to grid stability; however, energy storage systems can mitigate these issues by evening out the variable output from decentralized power sources, thereby enhancing the system's dependability. Therefore, it is crucial to strategically place energy storage facilities within these distribution grids for maximum benefit. This paper establishes an optimization model with system node voltage fluctuation, network loss and the minimum value of main grid power purchase as the objective function, and solves it by using the improved particle swarm algorithm to derive the daily operation strategy of the energy storage system and explain it, which is of some guiding significance to the actual project.
