An iterative calculation algorithm for transmission line conductor ice cover based on laser point cloud arc dip observation

Ice damage and line breakage accidents occur frequently in China's power grid, and effective monitoring of transmission line ice cover is of great significance to the power grid's anti-icing and anti-icing. Based on the basic equation of wire mechanics, the relationship between arc sag, temperature and equivalent ice cover thickness is established, and an equivalent ice cover calculation method based on UAV laser point cloud scanning arc sag measurement is given. An iterative calculation algorithm of equivalent ice cover on conductor is compiled by python, and the calculation result matches the theoretical calculation value by more than 99%, which provides a new means to solve the problem of measuring the thickness of ice cover on conductor.
