Effect of pre-injection on the performance of methanol-ammonia dual-fuel engines
In this study, a compression ignition engine model was established using numerically software, and the reliability of the model was validated. The effects of pilot-main injection interval and pilot injection quantity on engine performance and emissions were investigated. The results indicate that the soot emissions decrease with the increase of pilot injection quantity, with a maximum reduction of 35.31%. Additionally, the peak cylinder pressure increases as the pilot injection quantity increases.
