Temperature rise verification of electric vehicle AC charging pile with solar irradiation effects

Many electric vehicle AC charging piles often need to operate in a long-term solar irradiation environment, however, there are few studies on the effect of solar irradiation on the stability of electric vehicle AC charging piles. At the same time, in the relevant testing and certification standards for electric vehicle AC charging piles, the specific requirements for solar irradiation tolerance are not covered. Nevertheless, some charging facility operators and operation and maintenance teams have observed that in areas with high solar irradiation intensity, electric vehicle AC charging piles may experience power decline and even downtime. Through in-depth analysis of the temperature rise data of components of AC charging piles for electric vehicles under different solar irradiance, this study reveals that additional solar irradiation will further aggravate the temperature rise of AC charging piles for electric vehicles during the temperature rise test process, and there is a significant positive correlation between the two.
