Research on reactive power configuration of offshore wind power transmission system through power frequency AC transmission
The large charging power of submarine cables leads to severe power frequency overvoltage in offshore wind power(OWP) transmission systems, and high-voltage parallel reactors can be used to limit it. The article takes a 500kV OW farm in China as an example to theoretically calculate its power frequency overvoltage. Using the electromagnetic transient program (ATP EMTP), a model of the OW farm's AC submarine cable (SC) transmission system was established, and the distribution of power frequency overvoltage in the transmission system was calculated. The configuration scheme of high-voltage parallel reactors was analyzed. Research has shown that the system side load rejection overvoltage is much greater than the wind farm side load rejection overvoltage; When the total compensation is the same, the effect of single end compensation on land is slightly better than that of dual end compensation. On this basis, a high-voltage parallel reactor configuration scheme for the power frequency overvoltage limitation of the OW farm was provided, providing technical basis for engineering design and equipment selection.
