Stress measurement of deformed pipeline in oil and gas station based on numerical analysis method
In the process of constructing oil and gas stations, uneven ground settlement may occur due to the differences in foundation treatment methods between ground pipelines and buried pipelines. As a result, the subsidence of buried pipelines is often more significant than that of ground pipelines, leading to uneven deformation of the ground pipelines and a reduced safety margin. In this research, numerical analysis method combined with ultrasonic critical refraction longitudinal wave method is used to measure the axial stress on the surface of deformed pipelines in the oil and gas station. The calculation results show that the maximum axial stress, close to 90 MPa, in the upper middle of the pipeline. The difference between the maximum displacement on the upper side and the maximum axial displacement on the lower side of the pipeline that is not buried in the soil is relatively small. the ultrasonic method for pipeline stress detection verifies the correctness of the numerical calculation results, and treatment suggestions are proposed based on the measurement results. This method is suitable for evaluating the safety margin of deformed pipelines in oil and gas stations and provides valuable guidance for the treatment of deformed pipelines at such stations.
