Decision Support System for Selecting Wedding Venues in Jakarta Using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) Method

The development of the business industry in Indonesia shows a positive trend with the emergence of various commercial entities, including wedding venue rental services. In Jakarta, the number of people getting married continues to increase every year, with most weddings held in wedding halls. However, this growth is hindered by challenges such as the limited space for hosting wedding parties at home and the difficulty engaged couples face in choosing a wedding venue that meets their needs. This study aims to develop a web-based decision support system using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to assist engaged couples in selecting wedding venues in Jakarta. By utilizing a pre-research questionnaire indicating that 58% of engaged couples experience difficulties in choosing a wedding venue, this system is expected to provide the necessary information to facilitate the decision-making process. Criteria such as rental price, facilities, strategic location, guest capacity, and parking capacity will be considered in this system. The research results show that the developed system functions well and provides consistent calculation results, ensuring high accuracy.
