Design of the Human Knee Joint as Teaching Aid for Human Knee Motion with LabVIEW and NI MyRIO
Anatomy of the body is one of the difficult subjects for medical students and this science is directly related to clinical medicine in surgical specialization. Medical students need a joint teaching aid with movements similar to real human joints, to study the anatomy of the human body and simulate human joint surgery. Research on human joint replica props has been carried out several times, one of which Dharma's research in 2023 has made a prototype of knee anatomy for simulating surgery. However, no research uses servo motor drives with NI MyRIO and NI LabVIEW as microcontrollers and interactive interfaces. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a human joint teaching aid to assist medical students in studying the anatomy of the human body and simulating human joint surgery. The result of this research is a human joint replica trainer prototype with an accuracy value of 98% between input and output, which can reflect the original movement of the human knee joint. Thus, the human joint replica trainer can facilitate the ability of medical students to study the anatomy of the human body and can be used as a new source of literature for the field of robotics, especially medical robotics.
